You will find many beach homes for sale in the north county coastal region of San Diego County. This area is one of the most sought after real estate markets in the United States. It’s 70 degrees and sunny most of the year, has miles upon miles of beautiful Pacific Coast beaches, and prospering beach communities that have much to offer residents of all ages. Primarily upper to middle class, the affluent beach communities that make up north coastal San Diego offer beach and inland real estate, and primarily single-family homes. Downtown was built first during the 1890’s, then development spread to the south and east during the 1930’s.  Many homes for sale in Oceanside are preserved and remodeled as they are considered to have historical value. Since the establishment of the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton just a few miles north of downtown in 1942, Oceanside saw immense growth. The city is still home to thousands of U.S. armed forces personnel. Real estate includes condos, single-family homes, and multi-unit investments.

Carlsbad: Travel a few miles south of Oceanside, you find yourself in the affluent resort city of Carlsbad, home to 110,000 residents and many quaint hotels and five-star star luxury resorts. Locals call their town “The Village by the Sea” which offers seven miles of sandy beaches adjacent to a shopping district just off the boardwalk. Inland Carlsbad is home to numerous headquarters for Fortune 500 companies, outlet malls, the Carlsbad Unified School District, and the popular tourist attraction, Legoland. Carlsbad beach homes for sale, and inland real estate, are primarily single-family homes.

Encinitas: A quaint town of about 50,000, real estate in Encinitas includes condos, townhomes, and single-family homes on the beach or inland. Downtown Encinitas resides along the historic Coast Highway 101. Great for surfing, the beaches here include Moonlight Beach and Swami’s, rated top 5 in surfing locations in the world.

Carmel Valley:  Homes for sale in Carmel Valley are diverse in price and style. However most homes are newer, as Carmel Valley was built in 1983 as San Diego’s largest master-planned coastal community. The area is mostly urbanized, composed of commercial offices, residential units, hotels, and retail stores and restaurants.
